Pauline Year plenary indulgence
Catholics may benefit from a plenary indulgence if they take part, devoutly and in a spirit of total detachment from all sin, in a sacred function or in a public pious exercise in honour of Saint Paul during the Pauline Year (29 June 2008 – 29 June 2009) declared by Pope Benedict XVI. They must fulfil the required conditions: sacramental confession, Holy Communion, and prayers for the intentions of the Holy Father. The dates on which this applies are: 18 November, Feast of the Dedication of the Roman Basilicas of Saints Peter & Paul; 25 January, Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul; 29 June, the Feast of Saints Peter & Paul.
