Feast of Saint Joseph the Worker, 1 May
High Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am on Saturday 1 May, the feast of Saint Joseph the Worker, and Low Mass at 11:30 am. There will be no 7:30 Low Mass that morning.
This feast was instituted by Pius XII in 1955. The English translation of the collect for this feast, as published in the Monastic Diurnal is as follows:
O God, the Creator of all things,Who imposeth on man the law of work; grant in Thy goodness that, by the example of Saint Joseph and under his patronage, we may accomplish the work that Thou commandest us to do and attain the reward that Thou has promised us. Through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
