Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday (December 18, 20, and 21) are Ember Days. It is the custom to plan meals such that the two smaller meals do not add up to the main meal, with meat eaten only at one meal. This is not binding but is encouraged.
Christmas liturgical schedule
… is as follows:
- 12 a.m., Midnight Mass
- 8 a.m., Dawn Mass
- 10:30 a.m., Day Mass
There will be socials after the Midnight Mass and the Day Mass.
… will meet at the church for our annual Christmas party on Saturday, December 28, when Kris Kringle gifts will also be exchanged. This will be a potluck, so please let Bernadette know what you will bring.

Holiday Movie Night
… on Saturday, December 28. It’s a Wonderful Life is a black-and-white classic movie from 1946 that is suitable for the whole family. Please bring some food to share, as well as your own beverage. Buttered popcorn will be provided. Donations to cover costs are welcome. The movie begins at 6:30 p.m. in the church hall. To help or for more information, please call Mary Dean at 604-379-2023.
New Year’s liturgical schedule
On Tuesday, December 31, there will be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 8 p.m. to midnight, followed by a social. Please bring finger food. The Sunday schedule will be followed on New Year’s Day, January 1.
