Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful public witness of pro-life individuals standing for 90 minutes praying for our nation and for an end to abortion. It is a visual statement of solidarity by the Christian community that abortion kills children and that the Church supports the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception until natural death. Life Chain events take place in cities across North America.

This year’s Vancouver Life Chain will take place at the corner of Oak Street and 29th Avenue, between 1:30 and 3:00 pm, on Sunday 2 October. This is across the street from the Children’s and Women’s Health Centre of British Columbia.

Pro-Life Vigil

The next monthly Pro-Life Mass and Vigil will be held at Star of the Sea parish, 1153 Fir Street, White Rock on Saturday 7 March. Mass is at 9:00 am, followed by vigil at a nearby abortion facility.

Birthright Bulb Sale

Bioethics Seminar, Saturday 11 October

8:30 am to 4:30 pm at the Sheraton Guilford Hotel, Surrey, featuring Dr John M. Haas STL MDiv, and Fr Tadeusz Pacholczyk PhD, of the National Catholic Bioethics Center, Philadephia, USA. Topics: Beginning life issues (i.e. in vitro fertilization, genetic testing, reproductive technologies) and end of life issues (i.e. euthanasia, assisted suicide, brain death, ordinary & extraordinary means, advance directives, use of morphine, nutrition & hydration, ‘vegetative state’). $40 per person (includes lunch).
