Visit of Father Ryan

Father Charles Ryan, the former pastor of the Traditional Latin Mass community of Vancouver, Divine Mercy Parish (2000–2007), will visit Holy Family on Sunday 10 May. This is Father Ryan’s first visit since our move to Holy Family.

Schedule change: Thursday 26 March

The 9:00 am Mass on Thursday 26 March is cancelled due to a special Mass for Traditional Learning Academy at Our Lady of Lourdes that morning.
The 7:30 am Mass will be celebrated as usual.

Date set for confirmations

Confirmations will take place Saturday 27 June, at 9:00 am, followed by Holy Mass and a potluck lunch in the parish hall. As reported earlier, the Archbishop has delegated Holy Family clergy to administer the confirmations.

Candidates for Confimation should submit copies of Baptismal & First Holy Communion certificates as soon as possible. Confirmation will take place sometime in June or July (depending on the Archbishop’s schedule). Parents should register their sons or daughters as soon as possible. New Archbishop for Vancouver

The Apostolic Nuncio to Canada, Archbishop Luigi Ventura, will formally welcome our new Archbishop, his Grace J. Michael Miller, at Holy Rosary Cathedral at a special Mass of Thanksgiving. All are most cordially invited to the Mass at 3:00 pm, Sunday 25 January, and to the reception in Holy Rosary Hall. Oremus pro eo.

Reduced Mass schedule, 12–23 January

Father Geddes will be away from Monday 12 to Friday 23 January. During that time the Monday–Friday Masses will be at 7:30 am only, and on Saturday at 9:00 am only.

Epiphany house blessings

Homes are traditionally blessed during the Octave of Epiphany (6–13 January). Those of you who haven’t had your homes blessed yet should arrange to do so.
